How to register for a new voter id card in Jammu & Kashmir- CEO Officials

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has given the people of the state an opportunity to register their name for the electoral list online. With the help of Election Commission of India and CEO of the respective state they managed to create a site to handle and update the voters list and all the information related to the elections and its polls.

Instead of waiting for the CEO campaign to collect the name list once in five years or if you have to visit the office several time for making any minor changes in your Voter id you can do in simple clicks anywhere from your place. The online facility provided by the government provides all the options and guidelines to perform all the changes and information you want regarding the Jammu and Kashmir state election.

Register it online
For registering the name online you need to visit the site http://ceojk.nic.in for which you have to register with a login id and password.
After registering you can enter the site and get the form downloaded for registering by clicking online registration option.
For inclusion of new name you need to download Form 6 and fill all the details clearly and correctly.
You can see the guidelines for filling the Form which is given in the site clearly.
You can find all the forms required for various purposes such as changing the details, removal of any name, etc.
You can also search if your name is included in the list or not by selecting the search your name option. By entering your name and other details asked you can check whether your name is included in the list or not.
Requirements
You must have two passport size photos for uploading.
Keep all the mandatory document of your age proof like birth certificate, transfer certificate and address proof, driving license etc ready for verification.
As you submit the form you will receive a verification code in your mobile so keep the mobile near and on.
Keep the acknowledgement receipt safe.
After the form is received by the CEO office the BLO staff will come to visit your place for complete verification and then your Voter card will be ready which you need to collect it from the nearest electoral office.
Guidance
Keep the clear scanned copy of photograph and the mandatory documents. Give correct and valid mobile number. The form can be rejected for any reason if the details are not clear. You can make use of the helpline number 1950 for any further assistance. If your form is rejected you can ask the officers and get the details. You need to the do the proper changes and submit again. The size of the photo and scanned documents are all limited to 20 KB and 1MB respectively so they should not go beyond that. Fill all the mandatory details that are highlighted with asterisk.
