Check Your PAN CARD Status Online- Procedure and Methods of checking ALL PAN Status


Those who have made the payment online using their credit card , can enjoy yet another facility offered by Income Tax Department Of India. They can track the status of their PAN Card online. Pan status is a feature given to the applicants to check the delivery date of their PAN Card. Basically, they will be able to know the delivery date of the hard copy or the physical card at the given address.

At the time of online application of the PAN Card, the applicant receives a fifteen digit acknowledgement number. Also, while making the payment a 12 digit transaction number also appears on the screen. Both acknowledgement number and transaction number are used to check the status of the PAN card.

When to Check

 The online PAN card status can be checked only after 5 days of application made. For example if you have applied on 1.10.2015, you can check the status on 6.10.2015. Before the completion of 5 days , the PAN Card status would not appear.



Application Made Easy

 To fill the online application, we need to fill form 49 A in order the get the allotment. After filling this form, the payment can be made via debit card or a credit card. Net banking services can also be used for filling the form. The payment is of INR 106. Apart from making the online payment we need to attach few supporting documents like proof of Identity, proof of address and proof of date of birth. Also, if Aadhar is mentioned on the application then a copy of Aadhar is also submitted.
We get an acknowledgement receipt on successful submission of online form along with the payment.This receipt has the transaction number as well as the acknowledgement number. The acknowledgement number is of fifteen digits. And this number can be used to track the status of the application.

You need to enter a few details like Name, acknowledgement number and Date of Birth. The fifteen digit acknowledgement number is very crucial to track the status of the PAN Card. That is why, it is very crucial to preserve the receipt at the time filling the online form and making the payment. We can also SMS fifteen digit acknowledgement number to 57575. Difference between Transaction number and Acknowledgement Number

A transaction number is issues if applicants applies online ad makes the payment by debit card/credit card/net banking.

An acknowledgement number is generated when the entire online application process is completed. It is a 15 digit number
